What inspires me

This is a question I had given very little thought to until my Journey app coach sent the prompt. I instantly drew a blank and felt a little bit guilty for not knowing right away. “You’re 34, shouldn’t you know this already?” I didn’t. I let the question sit for a couple of hours, I read how others responded to similar questions. By the time I was ready to attempt an answer, I had opened up a floodgate of thoughts and the following list ensued.

It turns out I am inspired by:

  1. Myself. All that I have been through, all that i’m yet to go through, my eternal optimism, love for life and others and the creative energy that flows through me

  2. My ancestors whose strength, perseverance and love has brought me to the right place at the right time

  3. My parents whose unconditional love and support will always be a source of strength

  4. The beauty and magic that exists in the natural environment around me

  5. My daydreams where I’m free to explore my deepest desires

  6. Great leaders and philanthropists who demonstrate to me that to lead is to support others to find strength and purpose within themselves

  7. The world wide web! An infinite source of knowledge and connection

  8. The arts, travel and everything that broadens my horizons and opens my mind to new perspectives

  9. Synchronicities in everyday life that reaffirm to me that I am supported in my experiences

  10. LOVE! because without this beautiful love, life is nothing but a burden

Now that I have given clear thought and form to what inspires me, I will hold it close to my heart for whenever I need a little light. xx
